A record result for an anniversary
The Canadian Port of Trois-Rivières, located on the St. Laurence River between Québec and Montréal, reached a peak in throughput in 2022. A total of 4.3 million t of cargo passed through the port, up 10% from 2021 and beating the 2019 record of 4.2 t.
While dry bulk increased from 3.3 to 3.6 million t, liquid bulk grew from 234,000 to 292,000 million t and general cargo from 343,000 to 390,000 t. A total of 242 vessels docked at the port in 2022. The Port of Trois-Rivières celebrated its 140th anniversary last year. (sh)
