A rail hub for Siberia's Southwest
The Russian Delo Group is working on projects to create rail terminal infrastructure for container handling in Kuzbass, the coal mining district of Russia in the Siberian Oblast of Kemerovo.
The aim is to improve the efficiency of logistics services, balance import and export flows and meet the demand for container transports within the borders of Kuzbass and on the West Siberian Railway, Delo said.
Once completed, the terminal can become a major transhipment point for imports from Russia’s Far East. Recently, Delo and Kuzbass signed an agreement to cooperate in measures to make the shipment of containers by rail more competitive. (ben)
