A powerful engine for international traffic
European Locomotive Leasing (ELL) has delivered a Vectron locomotive to ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) in Poland. The new unit will enable it to strengthen its fleet in Poland and expand its freight transport services from Gdansk to other European countries, RCG said.
The multi-system locomotive with 6,400 hp offers a high degree of flexibility in cross-border traffic as it is designed for multiple power systems. It will help RCG to save time and money by eliminating the need to change locomotives at borders, while reducing CO2 emissions and maintenance costs. (ben)
