A partnership to expand footprint in India
It is an Asian-European condominium. India’s Aurus Ship Management and the European company Columbia Ship Management are partnering to form ‘Columbia Aurus Ship Management’ India. Aurus Ship Management commenced operations in 2016 and currently runs five regional offices in India.
The new unit "will tap into the Indian crewing market to further consolidate Columbia’s march eastwards," as Columbia said in a press release.
Services offered by the newly renamed entity will fall within the scope of Aurus Ship Management’s traditional business including recruitment of crew, purchasing, payroll management and technical services. Prakash Agarwal, CEO of Aurus, remains at the helm of Columbia Aurus Ship Management. (sh)
