A new tool for digital fleet monitoring
Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha ("K" Line) has partnered with Navtor to adopt its NavFleet as a fleet monitoring system platform. The MOU signed on 25 August 2023 outlines the development of a global fleet monitoring and support system using this tool. Navtor, which is based in Norway, specialises in electronic navigational charts and advanced software development capabilities.
NavFleet provides real-time vessel position, weather, and route information through seamless cloud-based data communication, ensuring safe navigation and preventing accidents.
"K" Line's move aligns with its focus on safety and quality management within its medium-term management plan. The partnership aims to enhance navigation and transport quality management using advanced technology. (pb)
