A new green truck in Australia
ACFS Port Logistics is piloting its first electric truck, a Mercedes eActros. The container logistics operator is the first company in Australia to carry out a test for Daimler in the heavy vehicle range.
The use of this green truck represents a major step for ACFS, for it will make its operations more sustainable and reduce noise pollution. The eActros runs completely on electric power producing zero tailpipe emissions.
As regulations around emissions become stricter, ACFS is proactively adapting its vehicle fleet to ensure compliance and sustainability in its operations, the company said. (ben)
