A network’s new European hub

The general cargo cooperation Cargoline is building its own main transhipment warehouse in Niederaula in the state of Hesse (Germany). The 10,800 m2 new building with 126 gates will replace the cooperation's central and European hubs, which have been separate facilities so far, located in Eichenzell, near Fulda in the same state, and operated by John Spedition. The new facility, due to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2023, will combine the central and European hubs in one building.Cargoline will also use the new building to further its protection of the environment. By using low-emission energy, a CO2 saving of 5,448 kg a year will be made, compared to a standard building. (ben)
