A lively project for Luton
Glencar and Wrenbridge have broken ground on a new logistics unit in Luton. The facility, totalling almost 20,000 sqm, will be designed as a site for flexible workplace, R&D, and distribution. This is the fifth collaborative undertaking between Glencar and its client, Wrenbridge, and will serve as part of the “Junction” project.
By remodelling the 4.46 ha development plot, the companies are looking to create 2,500 jobs and contribute GBP 160 million to Luton’s economy annually. Glencar will implement a modern office fit out, new and varied retaining structures, underground drainage and services, and external soft landscaping.
The "Junction" logistics park is situated adjacent to Luton’s road network. Given its sustainability and accessibility, the site has been designated as a ‘category A’ employment site. Completion is set for mid-February of 2025. (mk)
