A dozen more vessels for UHL's fleet

Recently, United Heavy Lift (UHL) in Hamburg took over a heavy lift fleet of nine newbuilds. “Carbon emissions of the eco-friendly F900 vessels are 30 - 50% lower compared to the existing heavy lift fleet in the market,” said managing director Lars Rolner.

The current newbuilding programme focuses on advanced propulsion systems. The vessels have a crane capacity of 900 t, a hold of 105.45 m x 20 m, a height of hold of 14.25 m, and a 125 m x 25 m deck. UHL has been expanding its global network, having recently opened offices in Japan, Malaysia and Norway. Soon the USA will be added to the global network of UHL offices and agents.

Furthermore, the company has taken over MV “Zea Mahawali” and MV “Zea Kelani”. The vessels will be renamed MV “Veronica” and MV “Valentina” and will enter UHL's West Africa service, which is operated jointly with tpartner Marguesa. MV “Spring” will be taken over in the course of February, bringing the number of new units to a dozen. (mw)
