A crane returns to the skies

Today, 28 August 2019, Uganda Airlines resumes its commercial services. Revived after 18 years, the Central African country’s flag carrier, retaining its old name and logo adorned with a crane, will start with twice daily CRJ900 flights from its hub in Entebbe to Nairobi (Kenya), a connection that is already operated by Kenya Airways, Jambo Jet and Rwandair.

Over the next few days, three weekly flights to Mombasa (Kenya), Bujumbura (Burundi) and Kilimanjaro (Tanzania), four weekly connections to Mogadishu (Somalia), six weekly services to Dar-es-Salam (Tanzania) and ten flights to Juba (South Sudan) per week will be added to the timetable.

Furthermore, the airline is looking forward to taking over two new A330-800 wide-body aircraft in the near future. (ah)
