A cheaper container reload system
CMA CGM has introduced the domestic (DRM) intermodal option in North America, providing a domestic intermodal ocean box reload programme from major intermodal ramps, Ohio Valley and west, to Los Angeles, Oakland, Portland, and Seattle.
Committed freight solutions are offered in core BNSF and Union Pacific rail lanes within the USA as well as in Canada for CMA CGM owned and leased containers - 20’s, 40’s, and 45’s - both standards and high cubes. All street turn bookings are handled via the Avantida platform which allows a 24/7/365 access.
The inland repositioning of empty containers enables CMA CGM to provide domestic rates for its intermodal marketing company and 3 PL partners, the French shipping company said. (ben)
