A carbon-friendly container?
Ensuring sustainability in logistics equipment: Chep Europe has launched a new collapsible container made from 97% post-consumer plastic.
The product, dubbed Zirconic, is made for the packaging, e-commerce, and co-packing sectors. With a capacity of 708 litres and 750 kg, it is designed for ergonomic and safe transport. The Zirconic offering includes a digitisation service which provides visibility and shipment information as well as a lifecycle analysis of the CO2 emissions a company can avoid just by using this container based on the customer data.
“Our focus on high efficiency is reflected in its optimised storage and loading capacity, which reduces costs and CO2 emissions," says Nicholas Gibbons, managing director of Chep inbound solutions Europe. (mk)
