A brownfield near Stuttgart
Panattoni has completed a 25,700 sqm BTS logistics centre in the region of Ostalb, Southern Germany, for Spedition Brucker, a local logistics specialist. Panattoni Germany developed the property on a brownfield measuring around 47,000 sqm. Previously, the site belonged to a machinery manufacturer who used it until the end of 2022.
After demolishing the old building, Panattoni began construction in January 2023. The centre features 23,200 sqm of hall space, 1,300 sqm of offices and 1,200 sqm of mezzanine/gallery space. Emphasis was also placed on sustainability with a large photovoltaic system and natural design.
Located in Schwäbisch Gmünd, the facility is accessible via the B29 motorway, providing Spedition Brucker with a good base in the region. (mk)
