A big investment in Liverpool
Peel Ports Group, one of the largest port groups in UK, has earmarked GBP 28 million for a new facility at the Port of Liverpool in its biggest single investment in warehousing this year, a project expected to be completed by April 2024. The project will be led by the construction company Glencar.
COO David Huck: "This also represents a very important milestone for Peel Ports Group, enhancing both our warehousing and distribution offerings while enabling more sustainable port-centric solutions.”
The new facility will be called Alexandra Dock Multi-User Warehouse (MUW and be up to five football pitches long. It will be able to handle and store a variety of commodities, both unitised and non-unitised requiring indoor storage. (lh)
