64 locomotives purchased in three years
European Loc Pool (ELP) is further expanding its fleet of state-of-the-art 6-axle hybrid locomotives: The Switzerland-headquartered leasing company has again ordered ten EuroDual locomotives of the Germany and Austria configuration and four EuroDuals for Norway and Sweden from Stadler Valencia.
64 locomotives of the latest generation have been ordered since the leasing company was founded in 2018. Of these, 52 locomotives are already under long-term full-service leasing contracts with 20 customers in five different countries. The EuroDual locomotives are in operation in Germany, Sweden and Norway.
The first set of Euro 9000 locomotives will be introduced in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium and Switzerland from Q2/2023. (ben)
