50th anniversary and sights set on 1 million teu
The German company TFG Transfracht shifted a record 950,000 teu in 2018, 6.4% more year-on-year. At the same time, the hinterland transport specialist also succeeded in stepping up its train utilisation rate by, inter alia, more intensive cooperation, reinforcing its hinterland traffic performance and expanding its nationwide Albatros Express network through the development of company trains.
TFG said that an enhanced rail traction performance and the first significant steps to digitalise supply chains also made a contribution to the result. The target for the current year – when the company celebrates its 50th anniversary – is to overshoot the 1 million teu mark. (ben)
