50% more goods transported by rail
The Chinese Haolebaoji-Ji’an Railway shipped 90.017 million t of goods in 2022, reaching the year’s target of 90 million t. To eliminate bottlenecks and increase transport capacity, the China Railway Xi’an Group overhauled unloading processes in the Jiangling and Fenyibei railway stations, accelerated car turnovers, and focused on the operation of 10,000 t trains.
So, as of 28 December 2022, 2,304 cargo cars on average were loaded per day on the Haolebaoji-Ji’an line, which had transported 5,757 million t of goods in total, an increase of 51.2% YoY.
The railway set 14 records of single-day loading; 3,250 cargo cars were loaded on 6 November 2022 alone, a new record-breaking high. (ben)
