3PL Century Logistics is sold
Metro Supply Chain Holdings, an affiliate of Canadian-based Metro Supply Chain, is acquiring Century Logistics, a 3PL headquartered in Suffolk, UK. The price of the transaction was not disclosed.
Metro Supply Chain currently manages approximately 4 million sqm in over 80 sites across North America and Europe with a work staff of about 6,000 people.
Founded in 1998, Century Logistics specialises in packaging, warehousing, ecommerce fulfilment, product repairs and product returns and currently runs seven distribution centres. Metro Supply Chain has been operating in UK since 2016, when it acquired the CEP provider Evolution Time Critical. In 2021, the company expanded operations to include five facilities in Wales dedicated to defence sector logistics. (sh)
