350 new vehicles for Central Europe

Kuehne + Nagel is optimising its overland transport fleet to increase road safety and reduce exhaust emissions. The company has said that it will only purchase vehicles that fulfil the strictest fuel consumption and exhaust emissions standards and come with a turning assistant.

The first 350 new vehicles will be acquired this year and deployed in Germany and France. The fleet investment will reinforce the company’s position in those two important overland markets.

K+N is opting for products from several manufacturers in order to gain experience of three different technical solutions for turning assistants - namely optical, radar-based and ultrasound-assisted systems. (ben)
