35 new wood chip wagons
VR Group’s Russian subsidiary Finnlog is expanding its rapidly growing operations. The company’s 35 new wagons will be deployed to import wood chips from Russia to the Metsä Group pulp mill in Joutseno, Finland.
Finnlog specialises in wagon operating services in eastern Europe and is expanding its operations to transport wood chips. The company’s operating model develops service solutions based on customer needs in cooperation with VR Transpoint.
For example, Metsä Group leases Finnlog’s wagons for its own logistical needs so that it can prepare its transport plans which are then implemented by railway industry professionals. (ben)
