25 years of daily Munich-Dubai flights

Since its first A310 flight on 2 November 1999, Emirates has operated 34,600 scheduled flights between Munich and Dubai. Today it covers this route twice daily with A380s. Below-deck cargo capacity of up to 60 t per route plays a key role in strengthening trade relations between Bavaria and the rest of the world.

The most important export goods include car parts, medicines, textiles, electronics, paper products, and printed goods destined for markets in the Middle East such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, in Africa, such as South Africa and Egypt, and Asia (Malaysia, China, Japan and the Philippines), as well as Australia and New Zealand. Import goods are primarily leather goods, medicines, textiles and clothing.

On full freighters and passenger flights combined, Emirates has carried over 65,200 t of cargo on the route over the past five years. (ah)
