25 years in Hungary
Dachser is celebrating its silver jubilee in Hungary this year, after having founded its original joint venture in 1999. Launched in the country just before the turn of the millennium, Liegl & Dachser focused primarily on imports into Hungary. Later, it expanded into domestic transport services and managed customs clearance at a time when Hungary was not yet a member of the EU.
Several hubs followed, and the JV was wholly acquired by Dachser in 2022. Now, the company offers multimodal transport as well as food and contract logistics services in seven locations. Supported by a team of around 400 employees, it attained net sales of EUR 107 million last year and continues to grow in the market.
„In Hungary, we have colleagues who have been with Dachser for a quarter of a century – this is the highest recognition we can receive after 25 years," says Péter Szabó, country manager of Dachser Hungary. (mk)
