10,000th railcar rolls off the assembly line
The milestone was reached at Freight Car America’s Mexican facility in Castanos, south of the US border to Texas. The site was built between 2020 and 2022 and its fourth line was completed in 2023. The 65,000 sqm facility has four fully operational production lines, a capacity to build more than 5,000 units per year. A fifth line is available to increase production volume by 20%.
