100% biodiesel transports with new technology
Biodiesel is an alternative to conventional fuels. The problem is that the colder it is, the lower the proportion of biodiesel that can be mixed with conventional diesel. At Schöni, around 270 trucks have been running on 50% to 80% biodiesel from March to October for some years now.
The Swiss haulage company has now started delivering Eptinger mineral water with vehicles that can run on 100% biodiesel. Schöni deploys seven new Renault trucks with the newest technology: the T 480 6x2 B100 vehicles have engines with sensors that analyse the fuel mixture used in real time and make the necessary engine adjustments to achieve a performance comparable to that of the diesel engine.
