DP World becomes logistics partner of Porsche
Apr 29, 2026 at 3:17 PMArnold Schwerlast GmbH from Rimpar near Würzburg has joined the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce (AHK Ukraine) to prepare for the reconstruction of Ukraine. The company, which specializes in project logistics and heavy transport, sees its expertise as crucial for addressing the challenges in large-scale goods transport, particularly in war zones.
Oliver Arnold (center), one of the managing directors alongside Heike Fuchs and Volker Lenzing, emphasizes the importance of flexible and secure project logistics for the reconstruction of Ukraine. He explains that the reconstruction represents one of the largest economic and infrastructural tasks in Europe in the coming years. The company aims to act as a partner for investors, energy suppliers, and public clients who want to implement projects in Ukraine.
Experience in Eastern Europe
Arnold Schwerlast brings many years of experience in planning and executing international project transports in Eastern Europe. The range of services includes feasibility studies, permit management, route planning, customs clearance, and multimodal transport concepts. Particularly in demand in Ukraine will be deliveries for energy projects, industrial and production sites, as well as for building construction. These projects require precise logistics solutions that the company has successfully implemented for years.
“We are ready to contribute our experience, our network, and our operational strength to efficiently support international projects in Ukraine,” says Oliver Arnold. He highlights that reconstruction does not begin with the first construction crane, but already with functioning supply chains. Companies that establish robust logistics structures early on can secure decisive advantages.
Membership in AHK Ukraine
Membership in the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce enables Arnold Schwerlast to develop a solid understanding of the economic conditions and practices in Ukraine. AHK Ukraine, founded in 2016 in Kyiv, supports companies in international business and currently has 62 premium members, including well-known companies such as BMW and Siemens.
The decision to join AHK was made during the 8th German-Ukrainian Economic Forum in Berlin, where high-ranking government representatives from both countries were present. Oliver Arnold reports that the company was approached by Volodymyr Kravets, project manager of AHK, to support his work in the areas of transport and logistics.
Arnold sees advantages in membership such as branding in the German-Ukrainian economic space and direct access to decision-makers. Co-managing director Volker Lenzing will be primarily responsible for the company’s engagement in Ukraine.
However, the future development of the company heavily depends on the situation in Ukraine and to what extent the country will be able to accept support from Germany after the war.
