Apr 29, 2026 at 10:32 AMDaniel Brunnauer has taken over the position of General Manager for European Logistics at the Dachser branch in Himberg as of April 1, 2026. He brings more than 30 years of experience in the transport and logistics industry.
Brunnauer began his professional career in 1992 with an apprenticeship as a freight forwarding agent at Schachinger Transport & Logistics in Austria. In the following years, he worked as a dispatcher for international charter and scheduled services and took over the group management of Eastern European traffic. He continued this role at Dachser starting in 2023 and had a significant impact on the development of the area. In the subsequent years, he held several key leadership positions within the company. Most recently, he served as the forwarding manager of the Vienna logistics center. This continuous development within the organization led to his appointment as General Manager.
Strategic development of the branch
Michael Rauhofer, Managing Director of Dachser Austria, commented on Brunnauer’s appointment: “Daniel Brunnauer combines in-depth operational know-how with many years of leadership experience and a comprehensive understanding of our processes and markets. He is excellently suited to strategically develop the Himberg branch and strengthen its position in the Austrian market.”
Brunnauer himself emphasizes the importance of well-coordinated teams and reliable processes: “I have learned logistics from the ground up and know how crucial well-coordinated teams and reliable processes are. My goal is to further develop the Himberg location together with the employees and to support our customers in the best possible way.”
