These certifications are intended to demonstrate GEODIS’s commitment to adhering to high standards of quality, safety, and regulations in pharmaceutical and healthcare logistics, as stated by the company.
Expansion of healthcare competencies
According to GEODIS, the certifications support its efforts to enhance its competencies in regulated areas such as healthcare and life sciences. Switzerland plays a central role as a significant European hub for these industries. The CEIV Pharma and GDP certifications reaffirm the company’s operational commitment and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, particularly regarding temperature-controlled logistics and the traceability of pharmaceutical products.
GEODIS’s competencies are based on a quality management framework that includes the standards ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001. These standards are crucial for the company’s core businesses, which include Worldwide Freight Management, Project Logistics, and Supply Chain Solutions.
In addition to the new certifications, GEODIS has expanded its presence in Switzerland by relocating and expanding its offices in Zurich and Basel. Furthermore, the company has opened a new office in Geneva.
