Heathrow strengthens airside care for animals
Mar 9, 2026 at 1:27 PMThe British International Freight Association (Bifa) has appointed Steve Murray as the regional representative for its newly-created central region. The move aims to strengthen engagement with members and improve support for freight forwarders based in the Midlands and surrounding areas.
The new region covers the home counties north of London and extends to Nottingham, Birmingham and Peterborough. It has been established to reduce the area previously managed by Andrew Melton, who represented members from Milton Keynes to the Scottish borders. Melton will now focus on members in Northern England.
Murray brings extensive experience in logistics and supply chain management with him. He most recently worked for FedEx Logistics. Earlier in his career he held senior roles in the International Supply Chain division of DHL, and previously also worked for Exel.
Bifa director general Steve Parker was “delighted to welcome Steve as our representative for this newly-created region.”
