Zeitfracht Logistics Orders 25 New Ford Trucks from F-Trucks
Oct 18, 2025 at 8:02 PMVeloq, the AI-driven food logistics company within the Rohlik Group, today unveiled the world’s most advanced AI-powered food fulfillment center in Vienna. The opening marks the beginning of a global partnership with AutoStore™, the technology leader in intelligent order fulfillment, to accelerate the future of food logistics worldwide.
(Mönchengladbach/Vienna) The facility is the first AutoStore system in the world to enable real-time shipping, meaning the automatic sorting of picked orders by delivery route. This replaces manual sorting, increases throughput, and simultaneously reduces time, labor, and costs. Additionally, the facility demonstrates a flexible, scalable model that can adapt to different fulfillment formats—from large central hubs to smaller, specially designed locations. This significantly lowers the entry barrier for retailers to introduce automation.
Orders from a range of up to 20,000 items can now be prepared for delivery within just 30 minutes. These items include fresh produce, baked goods, and pharmacy products.
As part of the agreement, Veloq will utilize AutoStore technology alongside its own software to provide food retailers with the same automation, accuracy, and speed that have driven Rohlik’s growth over the past decade. As an official AutoStore solution provider, Veloq offers a unique end-to-end automation solution for the grocery retail sector, combining software, hardware, and operational intelligence into a single platform specifically designed for food.
Fulfillment Industry in Rapid Change
Mats Hovland Vikse, CEO of AutoStore: “The fulfillment industry is undergoing rapid change. Customers expect larger assortments, faster deliveries, and reliable service—despite ongoing disruptions. At the same time, retailers face challenges such as labor shortages, volatile supply chains, and rising costs. Together with Veloq, we demonstrate how AutoStore technology helps companies of all sizes meet this pressure with speed, accuracy, and intelligent orchestration—always with the customer at the center. The Vienna location showcases how the combination of food expertise and our platform sets a new standard for intelligent fulfillment.”

What makes Veloq special is that we offer not just automation, but orchestration. Our partnership with AutoStore is the next step in scaling our model globally. Together, we have shown in Vienna what is possible when deep industry knowledge meets cutting-edge technology. And we are just getting started. The USA is a priority market for us. There, food retailers face the same challenges as in Europe: rising customer expectations, labor shortages, and the need to modernize fulfillment without compromising on quality. With AutoStore’s global presence and our unique food domain, we are now ready to support retailers in Europe, North America, and beyond.”
Tomáš Čupr, founder and CEO of the Rohlik Group: “At Rohlik, we have shown what is possible when deep food expertise meets cutting-edge technology. Our growth in Europe has been enabled by the technology stack that now forms the core of Veloq. The partnership with AutoStore brings this model to the global stage. The center in Vienna demonstrates how intelligent automation transforms grocery retail for both retailers and customers. I look forward to Veloq providing the same capabilities that enabled Rohlik’s success to partners worldwide—even in markets like North America, where the demand for intelligent food infrastructure continues to grow.”
