Vehicle Logistics Association ECG Calls for Transition Period
Oct 1, 2024 at 6:23 PMFollowing the announcement of the acquisition of Schenker by DSV, IDS and DSV have decided to extend their cooperation until January 2026 and then terminate it. It is currently assumed that the final completion of the transaction, known as the closing, will take place in the second quarter of 2025.
(Kleinostheim/Bremen) IDS and DSV Road Germany look back on more than 23 years of collaboration. Currently, DSV has long-term franchise agreements in seven of the 54 depot areas of the IDS network. To ensure that the high network quality is maintained even after the closing, both companies have agreed to continue the cooperation until early 2026.
Affected areas will be reallocated
Both parties agree that customer satisfaction is the top priority and that both IDS and DSV will continue to offer the well-known IDS standards and services at the usual high level. Until January 2026, IDS will reallocate the areas currently managed by DSV. In four of the seven affected franchise areas, other IDS partners are already active as network partners today.
