Jan 21, 2024 at 7:59 PMTFG Transfracht starts the new year with the integration of two new terminals, Kreuztal and Duisburg, into its comprehensive AlbatrosExpress network. This not only expands TFG’s connections between North Rhine-Westphalia and the German seaports but also focuses on a sustainable logistics solution to relieve road transport.
(Duisburg) As part of the sustainability strategy “TFGreen,” the focus for 2024 is also on the continuous expansion of the portfolio and the establishment of new short-distance transport services. This also contributes to the “Strong Rail” strategy of the parent company Deutsche Bahn, of which TFG Transfracht is a subsidiary of DB Cargo. The goal is to shift even more goods to the environmentally friendly rail.
The market leader in containerized hinterland transport of the German seaports offers four weekly departures for both Kreuztal and Duisburg in import and export. All key loading points for the maritime sector in Hamburg, Bremerhaven, and Wilhelmshaven are served.
Bringing more goods onto the rail
“We are pleased to meet the growing demand for intermodal transport solutions and to offer our customers new transport options and even more flexibility. With the new terminal connections, we are taking another significant step to further expand our environmentally friendly transport alternative to road transport in North Rhine-Westphalia and thus bring even more goods onto the rail,” emphasizes Frank Erschkat, spokesperson for the management of TFG Transfracht.
