Jan 26, 2023 at 3:40 PMThe two leading customs service providers, ALS Customs Services and G. Englmayer Zoll und Consulting, founded the Customs Academy Germany Training and Education GmbH at the beginning of 2023. The aim of the joint venture is to convey practical customs knowledge tailored to the needs of various industries.
(Düsseldorf) With the signing of the contract in mid-January, the range of customs training offered by Austria, where the Customs Academy Austria operated by G. Englmayer Zoll und Consulting has existed since 2013, is now expanding to the German market. The focus of the offering is the practical experience of the speakers and trainers, who provide their expertise from academia and industry in Austria and Germany to the training participants.
G. Englmayer Zoll und Consulting aims to extend the experiences and successes of recent years with the Customs Academy Austria beyond the Austrian borders: “Germany is a large and interesting market for us, as customers based there previously sought a way to Austria for our training. Therefore, we are particularly pleased to establish the joint Customs Academy Germany,” emphasizes Klaus Gasperlmair, Managing Director of G. Englmayer Zoll und Consulting.
Customers of ALS Customs Services appreciate not only the service but also the expertise gained from more than 35 years of experience in the German market. The company now offers them a dedicated solution for the dissemination of customs knowledge: “We greatly value the collaboration on equal footing with our joint venture partner: we bring our respective experiences and strengths to the table and are convinced of the success that the Customs Academy Germany will achieve in the future,” adds Anika Fischer, Managing Director of ALS Consulting Services.
The course offerings of the Customs Academy Germany will start in autumn 2023. It includes seminars and certificate courses on various customs and foreign trade topics, delivered in traditional in-person events as well as newly developed digital learning formats such as online courses, hybrid events, and e-learning. The focus is on customs declarants, customs officers, and customs enthusiasts, as well as all individuals with touchpoints in these areas of responsibility. The training will be offered nationwide in Germany both in person and as online courses.
