Nov 30, 2021 at 1:43 PMThe intralogistics trade fair LogiMAT, originally scheduled to take place in Stuttgart from March 8 to 10, 2022, must be postponed due to the ongoing difficult Corona situation. In close coordination with the exhibitors, the organizer, EUROEXPO Messe- und Kongress-GmbH, has decided to move the upcoming fair to the new date from May 31 to June 2, 2022. The LogiMAT.digital platform will be extended until the end of June 2022.
(Munich/Stuttgart) The LogiMAT – International Trade Fair for Intralogistics Solutions and Process Management will not take place as planned from March 8 to 10, 2022, due to the renewed difficult Corona situation. The organizer, EUROEXPO Messe- und Kongress-GmbH, is compelled to postpone LogiMAT to the new date from May 31 to June 2, 2022, due to the current incidence rates and insufficient vaccination coverage.
“The currently high incidence rates are also unsettling our exhibitors. This is understandable and cannot simply be ignored. Therefore, we must once again respond in a timely manner to this current situation. Our exhibitors need planning security, which is difficult at this time,” explains Michael Ruchty, Trade Fair Director of LogiMAT, Stuttgart. “Whether the in-person event in March could take place in full is unclear at this point. The exhibitors desire an in-person event – but if the still too low vaccination rate and the associated hospital occupancy lead to stricter regulations again, that is not in the interest of all parties involved. We must do everything we can to meet the legitimate expectations of exhibitors and visitors on site. Therefore, it is not surprising that this postponement is expressly desired by many exhibitors.”
“We welcome and support the necessary decision to hold the fair at a less risky time. The health and well-being of guests and employees at a Jungheinrich trade fair stand is our highest priority. We look forward to a successful LogiMAT 2022 in May,” explains Christian Erlach, Board Member of Sales at Jungheinrich AG in Hamburg.
Exhibitors Support the Postponement
“A decision that we fully support. The situation currently does not allow for reliable planning. We look forward to the next fair in Stuttgart and have some exciting new products and innovative solutions to offer for the professional audience. For this, safe execution as well as secure planning are essential,” explains Steffen Bersch, CEO of the SSI SCHÄFER Group.
“This decision is as understandable as it is regrettable. It is absolutely right and necessary to enable all exhibitors and visitors to have a planable and safe event. Looking at the experiences of the last two years, the date in May offers significantly better conditions for this,” adds Prof. Dr.-Ing. Johannes Fottner, Chair of Material Handling, Material Flow Logistics, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Technical University of Munich, and Chairman of the Expert Jury “LogiMAT BEST PRODUCT.”
To bridge the time until the fair in May 2022, the LogiMAT.digital platform will be extended for all participants until the end of June 2022.
LogiMAT.digital Platform Will Fill the Gap
“We regret the necessity, but the date at the end of May is perfect, and we are pleased that we were able to realize this request from our exhibitors at such short notice with the support of Landesmesse Stuttgart GmbH,” explains Peter Kazander, Managing Director of EUROEXPO Messe- und Kongress-GmbH. “With our LogiMAT.digital platform, we will fill the gap until the end of May together with the exhibitors and thus continue to stay in touch with the professional visitors in a timely manner.”
