Another Innovation Award for the MirrorCam from Mercedes-Benz Trucks

Mercedes-Benz Trucks wins the Innovation Award for the MirrorCam. Since June 2019, Mercedes-Benz Trucks has been delivering the Actros with the MirrorCam as standard. In addition to traffic safety, consumption is also reduced due to optimized aerodynamics.

(Stuttgart / Munich) – The MirrorCam from Mercedes-Benz Trucks has won another award. In the reader’s choice “best practice: Innovations”, the trade magazine LOGISTRA honors technical, entrepreneurial, and intellectual innovations in intralogistics and the commercial vehicle industry. In the category of vehicle equipment, readers chose the camera-based mirror system as the winner.

Standard since 2019

Since June 2019, Mercedes-Benz Trucks has been delivering the Actros with the MirrorCam as standard – so far the only manufacturer in the industry worldwide. With cameras on the roof frame and displays on the A-pillars, the truck is easily recognizable at first glance due to the absence of rear and wide-angle mirrors. The advantages of the new system: more traffic safety through better visibility and reduced consumption due to improved aerodynamics.
