Jul 23, 2020 at 7:04 AMThe logistics service provider BTK Befrachtungs- und Transportkontor GmbH has expanded its contract logistics division at the team leader level and gained two new customers. Dynamic, a Turkish wholesaler for automotive parts and accessories, and the Danish linear actuator manufacturer Linak rely on the Rosenheim company.
(Rosenheim) Currently, BTK manages around 20 warehouse customers in its two logistics halls covering approximately 11,000 m² near the Inntal motorway triangle in Upper Bavaria. The service offering, from goods receipt to goods dispatch, has now convinced two additional customers with customized picking, semi-automated packaging, and efficient shipping processes.
Since June 1, 2020, BTK has been supplying spare parts to automotive workshops across Germany for Dynamic Automotive Europe GmbH, based in Munich. The logistics encompass around 3,500 different items, which are picked on a piece-by-piece basis for daily postal dispatch. Additionally, the Danish company Linak, one of the world’s leading developers and manufacturers of electric linear drive systems, is now among BTK’s customers. On behalf of the branch in Nidda, Hesse, system parts and components for southern German customers are stored in the Raubling logistics center on 100 pallet spaces. The goods are picked on demand in specifically labeled boxes and delivered twice a week.
Expansion of Contract Logistics
“In addition to established transport logistics, we have been consistently expanding customer-specific contract logistics for several years. We want to support companies in their logistics both regionally and nationwide. Therefore, we are particularly pleased about these two contracts and the exciting tasks ahead,” says BTK Managing Director Josef Heiß.
For future growth, BTK has expanded its second management level in contract logistics with a focus on customers, processes, and systems. Daniel Wirkner, who has been with BTK for ten years, manages all projects, including IT, as the interface to the customer with his sales experience. Raphaela Zikmund oversees the operational processes in picking. And Silviu Nemet is responsible for the infrastructure from the facilities to the forklift fleet. All report to Logistics Manager Peter Berger, who coordinates the entire contract logistics area covering a total of 19,000 m² of owned and rented logistics space in the Rosenheim area.
