The Malaysian cargo airline Teleport has added Istanbul (SAW) as a new gateway to Europe to strengthen the connection between Asia and key European markets such as Frankfurt and Amsterdam. This network expansion aims to enhance the efficiency of cargo flows from China, India, and Southeast Asia to Europe by providing improved routing options.
Expansion of Cargo Connections
The new connection allows for more flexible handling of long-haul shipments within the network. An example of utilizing this route is a recent delivery transported from Vietnam to Frankfurt. The shipment was routed through Hanoi, Kuala Lumpur, and Istanbul before reaching its destination in Germany.
The expansion of the Teleport network was realized in collaboration with Turkish Cargo and represents another step in the company’s efforts to expand its global reach. The integration of Istanbul as a hub is expected to optimize logistics processes and further solidify market connections between Asia and Europe.
