Track maintenance between Eastleigh and Southampton
Apr 7, 2026 at 9:24 AMSolitAir, a young cargo airline from Dubai (UAE), has taken another step in expanding its network with its first flight to Djibouti. The new air freight access to one of the key trading centers in the Horn of Africa opens direct connections and strengthens the logistical infrastructure in the region. With this expansion, SolitAir now serves over 50 cities and connects central markets between Dubai and significant trade routes in the Global South and beyond.
Expansion of the Indian Network
Additionally, SolitAir has expanded its presence in India. Following previous connections to the cities of Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Delhi, Cochin will now also be served. The first flight to Cochin represents another step in the company’s strategy aimed at connecting the Global South. Hamdi Osman, CEO of SolitAir, thanked his team in Cochin for the successful implementation of this expansion and praised the support of Cochin International Airport (CIAL).
ACC3 Certification for Enhanced Security Standards
A significant advancement for SolitAir is the official granting of ACC3 certification by the Belgian aviation authority. This certification allows SolitAir to offer secure cargo and mail services to the European Union, officially starting from March 19, 2026. The ACC3 designation is a sign of the European Union’s trust and confirms that SolitAir meets the highest international standards for aviation safety.
For customers and partners, this means that transport between the UAE and Europe will now fully comply with EU regulations. Additionally, continuous security checks along the entire supply chain are ensured.
