Apr 2, 2026 at 8:00 AMLouise Verstraete Claudin has taken over the position of Executive Supply Chain Director at Weldom on April 1, 2026. In this role, she will lead the supply chain strategy of the French DIY and specialist retailer for home improvement, decoration, gardening, and interior design. A central goal of her work is the optimization of the logistical model, which is based on product availability, the reliability of supply flows, and the quality of service for the stores and partners. She succeeds Charles-Edouard Méliet, who is now serving as Global Practice Leader Logistic Engineering at Adeo Services.
Verstraete Claudin brings more than ten years of experience from her previous role at Leroy Merlin. There, she held various positions, including project manager for the supply chain and head of the transformation of logistical processes. Most recently, she served as Director of Logistics Operations in stores in 2023 before being appointed Director of Transformation and Data in the Supply Chain in March 2025.
Modernization of the Supply Chain
Weldom has recently completed a comprehensive modernization program for its supply chain, which was carried out from 2017 to 2025 and supported by an investment volume of over 110 million EUR. The company employs around 5,000 people and operates 335 stores under the Weldom brand. Additionally, it has 458 members in its „Club Partenaires,“ a network of independent partners. The company’s revenue amounts to over 1.86 billion EUR.
Verstraete Claudin is a graduate of the prestigious business school IESEG and began her career in consulting, where she worked on supply chain topics for seven years. Her expertise and commitment are recognized by Éric Béchu, the General Director of Weldom. He stated, „I welcome Louise to the board of Weldom.
