Duisport establishes new business unit crane technology
Apr 2, 2026 at 11:17 AMSealogis and XP LOG, subsidiaries of the GEODIS Group since 1995, will henceforth operate under the unified brand GEODIS. This strategic realignment is set to be completed by the end of the second quarter of 2026. With this move, GEODIS reaffirms its ambitions to play a significant role in port logistics in France.
The two companies, which operate in France as well as in Belgium (through the subsidiary Sealogis Freight Forwarding Belgium), have so far maintained their own brands. The consolidation under the name GEODIS aims to provide the company’s customers with comprehensive visibility over port logistics activities while simultaneously strengthening operational synergies.
Strategic Development in Port Logistics
The unification of the brands represents an important strategic step for GEODIS and solidifies the company’s presence in the key French ports where both subsidiaries have long been active. The combined teams consist of more than 900 employees and utilize extensive logistical capacities, including over 150,000 m² of warehouse space, a secured container yard, and a warehouse for maritime groupage. These infrastructures enable the handling of more than 160,000 TEU per year.
Henri Le Gouis, Executive Vice President for Global Freight Forwarding at GEODIS, stated: “By bringing together Sealogis and XP LOG under the unified brand GEODIS, the group offers port solutions in Le Havre, Marseille, and Antwerp that cover the full spectrum of the group’s services – from international freight transport and port logistics to last-mile delivery, including secure storage solutions.”
This step reflects GEODIS’s ambitions to position itself among the leading freight carriers in France, with port and airport centers meeting the highest standards.
