This week, the new platforms in Maia, Portugal, and Padua, Italy, were officially inaugurated. These expansions aim to increase the company’s efficiency and improve service quality in the food supply sector.
Expansion of the Network in Portugal
The site in Maia covers an area of 55,000 m² and is intended to enhance the density of the existing network in Portugal. These measures aim to optimize logistics processes and provide faster services to customers in the agricultural sector.
Strategic Hub in Italy
In Padua, a new strategic hub in northeastern Italy has been opened, covering an area of 6,500 m². This location is specifically designed for the temperature-controlled food supply chain and can manage both fresh and frozen products, seafood, as well as goods for retail and gastronomy. Advanced technologies are also employed here, including a photovoltaic system on a roof area of 3,000 m², which contributes to improving energy efficiency.
The two new locations are part of the strategy of the French logistics provider to build a stronger European network and continuously modernize the infrastructure. The management emphasizes that these developments aim to bring them closer to customers and enhance service offerings.
