The aim of this agreement is to ensure Toyota’s equal participation in the joint venture cellcentric, which focuses on the development and production of fuel cell systems for heavy commercial applications, as stated by Toyota in a press release.
Joint strengthening of fuel cell technology
The partnership between the three companies aims, according to corporate statements, to pool their respective competencies and advance the development of solutions in the field of fuel cell technology. Toyota intends to contribute its expertise and experience to the joint venture to strengthen cellcentric’s position as a manufacturer of fuel cell systems. The companies plan to collaborate on the development and production of fuel cell components that serve as central components of the systems.
