Mar 30, 2026 at 12:36 PMThe Port Authority of Barcelona has granted the shipping company Baleària the concession for the construction and operation of a new passenger and Ro-Ro freight terminal at the Adossat wharf. This decision was made during the meeting of the port’s board of directors. Baleària’s concession application, submitted in December 2024, included a construction and operation project that has now been approved, as stated by the port authority.
Details of the terminal project
The planned terminal will cover an area of 75,000 m² and provide four simultaneous berths. The investment amount for the project is over 25 million euros. The construction of the new terminal also includes the establishment of a trapezoidal building with an area of 5,600 m², which will house passenger areas, offices, and various services.
The planning includes waiting areas for trucks and cars, a storage space for semi-trailers, as well as lanes and parking spaces for vehicles. Taxi and bus stops, as well as public rest and service areas, are also part of the project.
