Mar 26, 2026 at 12:24 PMWallenborn Transports has signed a new partnership with Cathay Cargo in the field of road transport. This agreement aims to further expand the long-standing collaboration in Europe and enhance efficiency as well as customer transparency. The partnership is intended to improve intermodal transport solutions in Europe. The new agreement supports the expansion of Cathay Cargo’s European intermodal network and focuses on improving service quality and operational efficiency. Customers benefit from enhanced connectivity in Europe, increased process reliability, and better transparency throughout the transport process.
A central element of the partnership is the introduction of new customer-oriented features, including the ability to track shipments live and provide real-time temperature data. These features enable customers to monitor their shipments more accurately and manage temperature-sensitive cargo more effectively. Access to real-time data allows both customers and operational teams to make quicker decisions and respond to delays or disruptions. Particularly for temperature-sensitive cargo, early visibility of deviations helps support product integrity and reduce the risk of avoidable quality incidents in the transport chain.
The partnership reflects the shared commitment to combine operational excellence with digital visibility to meet the growing expectations of today’s supply chains. Reliability and transparency in service are becoming increasingly important.
Frantz Wallenborn (third from the right), Executive Chairman of Wallenborn Transports, commented on the agreement: „This partnership with Cathay Cargo represents an important step in the development of our European road network. By strengthening our collaboration with one of the world’s leading air freight providers, we not only enhance connectivity and efficiency but also provide our customers with added value through improved live tracking features and real-time temperature monitoring.“
For Wallenborn Transports, the agreement is also a sign of the company’s ongoing development, which is recognized as a key player in the field of European Road Feeder Services (RFS). This long-standing market position is closely linked to the company’s history, which dates back to the transport operations of the Wallenborn family and continues to be shaped by this continuity.
