Mar 23, 2026 at 2:35 PMVodafone opened a central logistics center for Europe in Bettembourg, Luxembourg, on March 19, 2026. This new facility aims to strengthen the company’s supply chain capabilities and support the provision and maintenance of network infrastructures in Europe.
The logistics center will serve as a central distribution hub for essential telecommunications equipment, including mobile, fiber optic, and fixed-line infrastructures. Its location in the Bettembourg logistics park enables Vodafone to reach all European markets within 24 hours from Luxembourg. This is intended to ensure the timely availability of equipment for network expansion and upgrades.
The opening ceremony was attended by high-ranking representatives, including H.R.H. the Grand Duke of Luxembourg, Lex Delles, Minister of Economy, SMEs, Energy, and Tourism, as well as Jean-Marie Jans, Mayor of Bettembourg, and Ninian Wilson, CEO of Vodafone Procure & Connect. Lex Delles emphasized the importance of Luxembourg within the European value chain and highlighted that Vodafone’s decision to establish the logistics center in the country underscores the robustness of the Luxembourg logistics ecosystem.
Ninian Wilson stated that the opening of the logistics center represents a significant step in the evolution of Vodafone’s supply chain operations. The central location in Europe is expected to enhance supply chain resilience and improve efficiency and effectiveness. Additionally, the facility is designed with sustainability in mind and aims for a BREEAM certification in the „Outstanding“ category, which is intended to make it one of the highest-rated sustainable logistics facilities in Europe.
