Chancerygate begins expansion into Germany
Mar 23, 2026 at 6:00 PMSagint Inc. has announced the appointment of Troy Fitrell as Chief Executive Officer of Sagint International. Fitrell, a former U.S. ambassador and experienced diplomat, will lead the company’s international expansion, which builds digital infrastructure for economic value chains in critical minerals and energy. With over 30 years of experience in U.S. foreign policy, including coordinating the peace process between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Fitrell brings extensive knowledge in diplomacy and international trade.
Sagint develops digital asset infrastructures that enable tokenized traceability across critical minerals and energy markets. The company’s platform transforms compliance requirements into verifiable, tradable digital assets, providing governments and institutional partners with real-time insights into the origin, custody, and regulatory status of assets. Sagint’s technology utilizes zero-knowledge proof cryptography to demonstrate regulatory compliance without disclosing proprietary data.
Experience in Diplomacy and Trade
Fitrell’s career at the U.S. Department of State is marked by strategic innovations at the intersection of diplomacy and trade. He was selected by the Trump administration to lead the Bureau of African Affairs, where he oversaw U.S. policy in 49 countries in sub-Saharan Africa as the principal advisor to the Secretary of State. In this role, he developed the first continent-wide strategy for commercial diplomacy aimed at prioritizing U.S. companies‘ access to African markets and ensuring they could compete on a level playing field with state-supported rivals from China and Russia.
Fitrell served as U.S. ambassador to the Republic of Guinea from 2022 to 2025, where he led a comprehensive U.S. mission during a turbulent political transition. During this time, he expanded commercial opportunities for U.S. companies and strengthened healthcare collaboration. For his services, he was awarded the rank of Commander of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Guinea.
Strategic Vision for Sagint International
In his new role, Fitrell will be responsible for global government relations, international business development, and partnerships with sovereign and institutional actors. He will lead collaboration with foreign governments, multilateral organizations, and international regulatory bodies to advance the adoption of Sagint’s tokenized traceability in critical minerals and energy value chains.
Fitrell commented on his new position: “The challenge of our time is to ensure that the critical minerals, energy, and water resources that drive the global economy are sourced transparently, traded fairly, and tracked from origin to end use. Sagint’s technology is the missing piece of the puzzle – it provides governments, industry, and investors with the verified, real-time traceability they need to trust the value chain.”
