Both companies are now preparing the next steps for implementation. The completion of the transaction is currently expected for May 2026, subject to further approvals.
Expansion in the e-commerce market
The goal of the partnership is to establish a joint network for parcel logistics in Spain and Portugal. The focus is on handling B2B and B2C shipments in a growing market.
Structure of the collaborative effort
Under the agreement, CTT Expresso will take over DHL eCommerce’s business in Portugal. Additionally, both companies will mutually participate in each other’s activities in Spain and Portugal.
The joint network is expected to handle more than 1 million shipments daily and strengthen the position of both partners in European e-commerce.
