PEARL service expands US-India connection

In mid-March Felbermayr acquired some equipment from the Chemnitz-based company Hoffmann Spezialtransporte, thus strengthening its activities in the heavylift field. The new equipment will be used in various fields in future.
The equipment includes, amongst other things, two lifting frames with a capacity of 1,000 t each, Sefiro self-propelled units and numerous steel construction elements. These will primarily be used in complex heavy assembly projects. The lifting frames are intended for use in the ‚engineered solutions‘ division as well as in Felbermayr’s subsidiary Jozef Hermans.
More flexibility in projects
With this integration Felbermayr is expanding its technical capabilities for individual heavylift projects. The additional equipment allows for more flexible adaptation to different project requirements. Wimmer Maschinentransporte will also benefit from the expansion.
The Sefiro self-propelled units will be particularly used for internal relocations of industrial plants in the future. With the additional capacities, Felbermayr aims to respond more quickly to time-critical demands and implement complex projects more efficiently.
