PCN: EKO Logistics Services new in Ghana
Mar 13, 2026 at 9:54 AMThe company LIS Logistische Informationssysteme, a software developer based in Greven (Germany), is expanding the use of artificial intelligence in its logistics solutions. New applications aim to automate transport and storage processes and accelerate decision-making in day-to-day operations.
Lis is enhancing its software platforms with additional AI features. The new applications will be implemented in the transport management system ‚WinSped‘ as well as in LIS Warehouse Management. The goal is to make operational processes more efficient through automated data collection, intelligent information retrieval and continuous data verification.
AI supports transport and storage
In transport management, a new OCR function automates order entry. The system reads content from PDFs, scanned documents, or handwritten notes and creates structured orders from them. The integrated AI processes the data in a matter of seconds and can recognise multilingual documents.
AI is also utilised in warehouse operations. A new assistant allows users to query inventory, movement data, or orders via text or voice. The system accesses current data and documentation and provides answers in real-time.
Additionally, an AI-supported anomaly detection system analyses orders and master data, compares historical movement and order data and identifies unusual quantity or structural deviations at an early stage. Lis is set to showcase its new features at the LogiMat 2026 trade fair in Stuttgart (Germany).
