
Lödige Industries presents “Cargo Direct”

(EWG) and AP Moller – Maersk, as reported by the news portal Port Technology International. At a ceremony at the EWG intermodal terminal in Fényeslitke, representatives of both companies signed a long-term agreement for the introduction of container depot and dry port services.
Establishment of a dry port operation
With this agreement, Maersk plans to establish a dry port operation at the terminal. According to the article, the concept involves relocating certain functions from the seaports to the inland terminal. This is intended to make the facility a part of Maersk’s logistics network.
Preparations for the project began in 2025. In the months leading up to the signing of the agreement, operational planning and risk assessments were conducted to ensure the implementation of the dry port, according to Port Technology International.
