Mar 11, 2026 at 1:51 PMGeneral Mills, a US manufacturer and marketer of consumer foods, announced recently that Jonathan Ness will become its chief supply chain officer (CSCO) on the 16th of March. The new member of the company’s senior leadership team will report to chairman and CEO Jeff Harmening and be in charge of global supply chain operations.
“Jon has been a driving force in shaping our supply chain organisation, leading critical strategy and transformation initiatives throughout his tenure at General Mills,” said Harmening. “He’s a people-first leader and well positioned to enhance our supply chain performance, resilience and operational excellence.”
Ness has been interim CSCO since January and has already held various leadership roles in his 20 years with General Mills. Prior to joining General Mills, Ness specialised in procurement as an officer in the US Air Force.
General Mills generated net sales of USD 19 billion in fiscal 2025.
